Breaking news: INEC finally postponed 2019 Nigeria Presidential, General election to 23rd February 2019 because of identified challenges.

INEC met on Friday 15th February 2019 so as to review it's preparation for the 2019 Presidential Election which is scheduled to take place today been the 16th February 2019.

It was also included that following the review of the implementation of its logistic and operational plan that the commission came to the conclusion that the election as scheduled is no longer feasible.

The commission has finally decided that the election has been rescheduled to take place on the 23rd February 2019, both the Governorship, State house of Assembly and federal capital territory area council election rescheduled to take place on the 9th of March 2019.

The commission will meet key stakeholders to update them on this development at 2pm.
