Imo state university IMSU was said to be established in 1981 by the Imo house of Assembly after it has been opened that year the university admitted about 400 students from different places that same year. After putting into consideration some of the programe to be offered in that university, it is said to obtain a full accreditation from National Universities.

Imo state university made the decision is building a temporary hostel which lasted from May to December 1992 and later it was moved to their own permanent site which has about four different buildings at Lake Nwaebere Campus.

The first batch been admitted into the school was allocated into the Imo state university which was recommended that JAMB which was in February 1993.

Now For those who are planning to gain admission into Imo state university (IMSU) their school fees are necessary every year. New students are being admitted into different federal and state universities, but they all first need to learn financial demands of the institutions including Imo university of course, lots of things come to mind of students of any university for each academic year and school fees is one of the major ones Imo fee 2018-2019.

In addition to the aforementioned fees, students have to pay ₦19,500.

ii.       Faculty of Education costs ₦75,000

iii.      Faculty of Engineering costs ₦90,000

iv.      Faculty of Humanities costs ₦750,000

v.       Faculty of Law costs ₦90,000

vi.      Faculty of Medicine costs ₦95,000

vii.     Faculty of Social Sciences costs ₦75,000

viii.    Other faculty’s costs ₦75,000 like the non-indigenes, indigenes have to pay ₦19,500 for ancillary.
